Hello Everyone!
Last July, the greyhound community lost one of the very best greyhound enthusiasts – Nina Howe. Nina was the inspiration and founder of the club. This spring we are having a special walk in her honour. We have reserved one of the Glennfield group use areas in Fish Creek Park. Glennfield was close to Nina’s home and she would often be found walking her own hounds in the vicinity.
We will have treats for the hounds and for the humans!
Please forward this to anyone who may want to pet the hounds and remember Nina.
DATE AND TIME: Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. – for as long as people care to stay.
LOCATION: Fish Creak Park Glennfield group use area BLACKBIRD. We have the site reserved for our exclusive use for the entire day. It comes with picnic tables, washrooms, and a dedicated parking area. People and their pups are welcome to stay for as long as you would like.
DETAILS: Flat, Paved and/or grass paths. All hounds and their peeps can enjoy this walk and social.
The BLACKBIRD group use site is indicated in RED. Our reserved parking area is marked with a GREEN circle. Non-reserved parking is also available in either of the two areas marked with a BLUE circle.
